Residential Septic System Expansion Bridgewater, MA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The owner of this property needed to expand his 3-bedroom house to 5 bedrooms. This necessitated the expansion of their existing septic system. Upon further research, inspection and coordination with the local Board of Health, it was determined that the existing system was designed under the old 1978 Title 5 code and that sufficient area for the addition of an extra concrete pit was not available. Therefore, it was more appropriate to design a full replacement of the existing system and re-utilize the area of the existing pits as well as the area between the existing pits with a more traditional trench system under the current Title 5 design criteria. By working with the Board of Health throughout the process, Greg Driscoll was able to get design approved promptly and with no revisions requested by the Board of Health.
